Launch final AEHA implementation documents and website

The purpose of this update is to inform the AEHA community on the progress made on the AEHA implementation documents, the development of an AEHA website and to provide an update on the 2019 APEC Business Ethics for SME Forum to be held 9–10 September 2019 in Santiago, Chile.

Final AEHA implementation documents

Thank you kindly to all AEHA member organisations and interested parties for your time in reviewing the AEHA implementation documents.

All feedback from the community has now been incorporated and the following documents have now been approved by the AEHA Steering Committee as the final implementation documents:

  • AEHA Guide for Member Organisations

  • AEHA Implementation Plan

  • AEHA Organisation Governance

  • AEHA Steering Committee Terms of Reference.

These documents will soon be available on the member-only section of this website.

Together with members of the AEHA Steering Committee we look forward to working with all AEHA member organisations on progressing the implementation of the ACF principles with the guidance of these documents. Together we will pursue our aim to improve healthcare in Australia through articulation and affirmation of ethical principles that promote the interests of patients and consumers, enhance access to safe and effective healthcare, encourage ethical collaboration in the healthcare sector and build public trust.

Launch AEHA website

One of the priorities determined at the April 2019 ACF Implementation Workshop was to develop a website for the initiative. With the assistance of the AEHA Media and Communications Working Group, a website has now been developed for AEHA.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the website as follows: ethicalhealth.org.au

A member-only area of the website is still in development and will be available to all members in coming weeks. We will be in touch as soon as this is ready.

I encourage all AEHA member organisations to share the website among your own networks and promote it on your own organisation’s website and/or social media platforms.

Should you have any questions, suggestions or concerns on the website, I welcome you to please contact AEHA Project Officer Talysa Trevallion via email at Talysa.trevallion@aoa.org.au
