Governance
The Australian Ethical Health Alliance (AEHA) was formed in April 2019 as the leading body to guide the implementation of the ACF. Membership consists of those member organisations who are signatories to the ACF.
The Australian Ethical Health Alliance seeks to facilitate ethical behaviour at the organisational level, provide general guidance to organisations, and encourage and monitor the evaluation of activities related to the principles outlined in the ACF.
An AEHA Steering Committee was formed in July 2019, where 14 members (expanded from the original 10 in the ACF leadership team) were appointed, representing all sectors, including: consumers, education providers, industry, health professionals, government and hospitals. In August 2022 the Steering Committee expanded to 15 members.
The AEHA Steering Committee has since had three elections to the Committee, with three new appointments to the Committee in August 2022.
Members of the AEHA Steering Committee include:
Andreas Loefler - Australian Orthopaedic Association
Trevor Ma - NSW Health
Carolyn Stapleton – Australian College of Nursing
Peter Subramaniam – Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery
Phil Truskett - Chair Day Hospitals Australia
