At the Third ACF Implementation Workshop, held on Friday 19 July 2019, the attending members approved the formation of the AEHA Steering Committee and appointed 14 members.
Members include those who were members of the Leadership Group that established the Australian Ethical Health Alliance and those further Committee members appointed by AEHA member organisations at the workshop.
Please join us in welcoming the following members onto the AEHA Steering Committee:
Adrian Cosenza, Australian Orthopaedic Association
Alison Verhoeven, Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association
Deborah Monk, Medicines Australia
Jane Fitzpatrick, Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians
Leanne Wells, Consumers Health Forum of Australia
Tracey Duffy, Department of Health
Ian Burgess, Medical Technology Association of Australia
Ian Kerridge, Royal Australasian College of Physicians
Wendy Lipworth, Praxis Australia
Peter Subramaniam Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery
Mary Warner, Department of Health
Carolyn Stapleton, Australian College of Nursing
Chris Ho, Skin Cancer College of Australasia
Rachel Yates, Universities Australia.
Friday's workshop group discussed the membership of the Steering Committee and agreed that all sectors should be represented – including: educators, nursing, allied health and other health professionals – hence, member selection has been made across a wide variety of organisations across the sector. We trust that this will be in the best interest of all member organisations.
In addition to the above appointments, the Steering Committee has now unanimously selected Adrian Cosenza as Chair of the AEHA Steering Committee.
We look forward to continuing the journey of improvement in ethical behaviour in the healthcare sector with the support of the AEHA community.
