Expressions of interest to join the AEHA Steering Committee will close this Friday 11 September 2020.
The nominations are an opportunity to represent your organisation and sector on the AEHA Steering Committee.
There are 14 members of the Steering Committee and five positions are available in this election process for the AEHA Steering Committee. The following members are vacating their roles:
Rachel Yates, Universities Australia – not standing – recommended representative from the education sector
Mary Warner, Department of Health – not standing – request to Department of Health for nominee
Tracey Duffy, Department of Health – not standing – request to Department of Health for nominee
Sophie Hibburd – Medicines Australia – standing for re-election.
AEHA member organisations interested in joining the AEHA Steering Committee should put forward their expression of interest to members@ethicalhealth.org.au by Friday 11 September 2020.
The AEHA Steering Committee coordinates and provides leadership on all AEHA activities. Responsibilities of the Committee include:
Stewardship of membership
Organisation of meetings of the member organisations and other events
Management of funding arrangements, including decisions on any funding and sponsorship proposals
Communications management, including representation and spokesperson roles
Maintaining at all times the focus of the Australian Ethical Health Alliance on its agreed objectives.
All expressions of interest to the Committee will be reviewed by the AEHA Selection Panel. The Selection Panel members are: Alison Verhoeven, Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association CEO; Jane Fitzgerald, representing the Australasian College of Exercise of Sport and Physicians; and AEHA Chair Adrian Cosenza.
The Committee looks forward to continuing to include a broad representation of AEHA's member organisations – including government, health professional, industry, education providers, nursing, allied health and consumer organisations – and welcomes your expression of interest.
