Why join the AEHA?
The Australian Ethical Health Alliance is a collaboration of organisations from a wide cross-section of the healthcare sector. This unique collaboration offers members the opportunity to both share and learn from sector experiences across areas of the Australian healthcare system that they may not have previously been exposed.
AEHA members are offered advice on how to implement ethics through the AEHA Guide to Implementing the ACF, which suggests practical activities on how organisations might align their practices and policies with the ACF principles.
Annually, AEHA members self-evaluate and share their progress on implementing the principles through the AEHA Self-Evaluation Form. This process can both encourage your organisation to enhance ethical practices and also develop processes from the experience of others.
The collective goal of the alliance is to enhance the integrity and trustworthiness of organisations in the healthcare service. This goal, beside the AEHA and the ACF, has the support and endorsement of every state and territory, as well as the Federal Minister of Health. The AEHA also works closely with APEC countries to both mentor and learn best practices across the regions. The Framework is the largest of its type worldwide and considered one of the leading APEC Frameworks.
By joining AEHA, your organisation would be part of an alliance that promotes public confidence and trust in healthcare sector organisations by demonstrating a shared commitment to integrity and ethics.
AEHA membership is free and all healthcare organisations are welcome to join, regardless of where an organisation is in their journey towards better ethical practice and collaboration.
