How does the AEHA and ACF benefit patients/customers?
The Australian Ethical Health Alliance is a collaboration of organisations from a wide cross-section of the healthcare sector. The member organisations that make up the AEHA have a shared commitment to integrity and ethics, and promote collaboration and interaction among healthcare sector organisations.
All AEHA member organisations have agreed to the set of ethical principles outlined in the Australian Consensus Framework for Ethical Collaboration in the Healthcare Sector (ACF) and are asked to provide an annual self-evaluation form on how they have applied the principles.
By presenting as a customer or patient to an AEHA member, you can be assured that their members and/or employees are acting in their best interests, with the ACF ethical principles underpinning their activities.
The ACF principles arise from commonly shared values and these make it possible for AHEA members to both resolve disagreement and differences in accordance to the principles, as well as promote collaboration and interaction.
